October 12th is Dassara, also called Vijaya Dashami -- the Victory Day!

This is the day when Mother Divine, in a super-powerful fierce form, comes onto the battlefield to vanquish the forces of the worst darkness.... crystallized in the form of a demon named Mahishasura.

Who is Mother Divine? How can we receive Her blessing to overcome our own challenges and negativities on this auspicious day?

We’ll be celebrating at our Devaloka satellite temple in El Cajon, California, through offering a special 1-Day Retreat deep in the energy, power, love, and teachings of Mother Divine — attendees can come in person, as well as experience the day online via live-stream.

This holy day will include many different powerful spiritual practices using the Five Elements of nature — the earth, fire, sky, water, and air — to bring Mother’s energy powerfully to our souls, for healing, blessing, and empowerment, during this auspicious time.

Teachings from Sri Kaleshwar, about Mother Divine, will also be part of this Dassara day. Luminous excerpts from his large body of work about Mother will be shared by UCBK’s Alx Uttermann. We will learn some new mantras, as well as diving deep into some familiar Mother Divine mantras — at a more profound level of understanding — bringing us closer to Her.

We will also be interacting with Shirdi Sai Baba, the great miracle healing saint who is one of the cornerstones of our spiritual tradition and family, powerfully — as he took his mahasamadhi (conscious exit from the body) on Dassara in 1918.   Shirdi Baba left his physical body at that peak time, saying, “Mother is calling, I have to go.” His energy will ALSO be running super-strongly, on Dassara.
