Maha Shiva Rathri: a special day of ceremony, healing, & meditation, deep in the energy Shiva, the “god the father” character, the infinity of god’s nature. Shiva is THE cosmic silence, the source of all healing and protection.

UCBK is celebrating the unconditional love of the Shiva quality, on this peak day of his energy — and you’re invited to join us!

Maha Shiva Rathri, or “Shiva’s Night”, comes once a year — it is the one day of the whole year’s cycle when Shiva stops his perpetual, eternal meditation in the consciousness, taking care of all the souls in creation, to merge with his feminine counterpart, Mother Divine.

When they are in their union together, Her grip on the maya (illusions) of this world is weaker than usual — and as a result, the blessings of the infinity of god; the peace, healing, spiritual consciousness, and upliftment available to each soul, are astronomically heightened on Shiva Rathri.

It is a profound time to receive the deepest satisfaction of our spiritual desires and longings, and to have deep healing needs addressed in the flowing pure love that is Shiva.

We will be observing this powerful day with a whole series of healing, blessing events at the special home temple in El Cajon, home of the UCBK Shirdi Baba murthi (living statue), himself an embodiment of the Shiva energy.

Using the Five Elements of nature in a purposed, and divine, way, we will do traditional practices (from India) to bring the energy of the Shiva/gurus as strongly as possible, to bless, heal, uplift, and support everyone who attends.

The day will start with a maha abishek (holy bath) of the Shirdi Baba living statue there, using the water element, plus sacred substances like rosewater, milk, ash, and more. We will also have time to meditate quietly, together, soaking up the Shiva energy & blessings flowing from these ceremonies.

Then we will go to the fire — doing a high-powered special Shiva Rathri homa, to expand on the blessings for everyone & bring Shiva’s energy to everyone, strongly.

It will be a beautiful divine day!
